La primera vez que intenté leer Generation X recién había terminado The Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. Los contrastes en estilo y tema me hicieron botarlo. Se me antojó sin sentido .. aburrido .. demasiado vanal. De hecho no pasé del primer capítulo. ¿A alguien le ha pasado eso? ¿Que un autor te deja saboreado con sus letras de manera que nada más se te antoja?
Vinieron otros libros y al fin me animé a tomarlo, ya libre del empalague de Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, me encantó, me declaro "fans" de Douglas Coupland.
